A little of this, a little of that

So I am just four days away from full term! And even better yet, the midwife thinks that I will have Teague in the next two weeks! I am not sure I can make it to the full 40 weeks, it is really hot here. That being said, I have been busy getting ready for his coming. Our bedding arrived just a few days ago, it looks wonderful. You don't have to take my word for it though....look for yourself.

We still have a lot of work to do before Teague arrives. I was sitting in his room this morning and Gershwin and myself noticed a mouse running across the floor in the little bathroom. Needless to say we will be taking a trip to the store later this evening and getting a few traps. I despise mice, however they are easier to get rid of than the lizards that frequent our house as well. You would think growing up in an old house in the middle of a field I would be okay with mice in the house, but no.

We have been busy sewing away as well. I have made my baby sling, well I still have to put a hem in one end, but it's close enough to being done. It is serged, so it can wait for a few days. I have a pair of newborn shorts that I want to get made before the big day arrives. I find it disgusting that a pair of shorts cost $10, when there is only 1/4 yard of material in the shorts. Expensive material would only put the cost at $2.50, and trust me I am not using expensive material for these shorts.

I would also like to get a quilt top or two made while David is away at work this week. Hopefully it will happen, but again, it is really hot and even hotter when the iron is on. I need to go get busy!
