Height: 28 inches and 91st percentile. (He's tall)
Weight: (I'm always so nervous here after the first two months. 16 pounds 12 ounces and 35th percentile.
Head: I'm pretty sure it was 43 cm, but I could be wrong, and somewhere in the 40's in percentile. David was with us, so I sat across the room and couldn't read the computer monitor very well.
We saw Mrs. Patty, the greatest CPNP there is. She is a little concerned about his head being flat. We are watching it for the next month or so and then will discuss a helmet. Teague's flat head isn't from too much time on his back, considering he is never on his back. He sleeps on his stomach, doesn't lay on his back on the floor, is always in a walker, bumbo, or sling. The only time his head is flat against something is in the carseat. I can't decide if we really even want to go the helmet route, but I guess we have time to decide.
With Teague being so tall, we are having to get a new carseat much sooner than we had expected. We were hoping to get 15 months or so out of our infant seat, since we bought the one that goes to 35 pounds. We are going to be just fine on weight, but we are nearing the end on height. Only 3-4 more inches of growth! I ordered his new carseat today from Amazon, they were having a great sale on Britax.
Photo from Britaxusa.comWe chose the Roundabout 55, since we obviously aren't concerned about the weight limit. (My nephew who is in 2nd grade just hit 60 pounds.) This car seat goes up to 46 inches, which seems to be like it would last for several years. We only ordered one this time so we could see how it fits in both of our cars, but will eventually order a second, so we don't have to constantly switch the seat between the cars.
Teague is also having severe dry, cracked skin on his legs. To the point they are bleeding, which doesn't seem to bother him, it just makes me want to cry when I look at his legs. We are using hydrocortisone cream on them, per Mrs. Patty's advice. I didn't want the cream to get all over Teague's few pairs of pants that fit, so I had to come up with a solution.
That solution was Baby Legs. You know, those baby leg warmers that are trendy. However, I didn't want to wait for them to be shipped to me, and there was no where to buy them around, so I had to come up with a different solution. Or did I? I came across a blog (I don't remember where) that was using cute knee socks for several different projects, and I thought, why couldn't I use knee socks for Teague? Well I did, and they work great. They were so quick and fun to make. The hardest part was finding socks that are fun, but not girly. Target is the clear winner when it comes to fun socks at all! So for $2.00, some leftover elastic, and truly 5 minutes of sewing, we have our own baby leg warmers! What do you think?
Teague seems to be liking them!
