My life recently - Part 2

After our tour of Illinois, we came home only long enough to drop the dogs off and head out again. This time to visit David's brother and sister-in-law. They just recently moved to the Charleston, SC area. He took a job at Charleston Southern. We decided that since this was the closest we have ever lived to each other, and there was a new (okay, he was already almost 7 months) nephew that we hadn't met yet, we would go visit.

It was so nice getting to see the three c
ousins together playing.

Vacation affirmed that Teague loves anything that has to do with the water.

He even liked the waves. He thought it was so much fun to go up and down with the waves. We had dunked Teague a couple of times at a family friend's pool, but I was a little hesitant to do it again in the ocean, but it didn't phase Teague at all. He just wanted to do it again, and again....

My two loves!

And a picture of me, I promise it won't happen too often.

Once arriving home, we realized that Teague's diaper rash wasn't from spending almost three weeks in disposable diapers. It was a dreaded staph infection. Goodness! We are just now, almost a month later, getting over this. We went to urgent care, because of course it was a Saturday, they agreed with my thoughts on staph/impetigo, gave us some medicine to treat it and sent us on our way. Well, it cleared up, and then came back with a vengeance. So back to t
he doctor we went. We got more medicine, and were told that if we had to come back again for treatment, we would be sent to Children's Hospital in Atlanta. Needless to say we went back. However, we were not sent to Children's. Thank God! It was a vicious cycle, the antibiotic used to treat the staph caused (TMI alert) diarrhea, which caused a yeast infection, which caused the staph to come back! I am hopeful that we have broken the cycle. Teague's diarrhea is gone and so is the rash. We are just crossing our fingers that it won't come back.

I am getting back into the swing of sewing. I had let my sewing area get so cluttered that I couldn't stand to spend time in there. On Friday evening, I cleaned out most of it(It is always in need of organizing.) which inspired me to make my newest obsession...a headband!
Stay tuned tomorrow for my very first tutorial on how to make your very own! (By the way, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to take a picture of the top of head by yourself.)
